So if you substitute in, you get (-3)(3)^2 on top, and -7 on the bottom.
Dealing with the top: do exponents first. So 3^2 is 9. Then regular multiplication: (-3)(9) = -27. So -27/-7. The negatives cancel, and you’re left with 27/7.
