2x-y= 9
X+4y=9

Use the substitution method

x= 5 , y= 1

2x-y= 9

2(5)-1= 9

Mutiply first then subtract

10-1= 9

9= 9

X+4y=9

5+4(1)= 9

5+4= 9

9= 9

Answer : Yes
